Cervical Smears

We are now accepting appointment bookings for Cervical Smears from the 1st June 2020 please contact the surgery to book an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses

 

** WE HAVE RECEIVED REPORTS OF A POSSIBLE SCAM** Some women are being contacted by text message, claiming to be from the call and recall service to advise they are overdue for cervical screening. The message asks them to call a mobile number and provide personal details.

These messages are not from the NHS Cervical Screening Programme.

If you receive one of these messages, please do not call the mobile number and do not provide your personal details.

The forms are sent directly and securely to us at the practice so we can check your answers and assess whether you need a face-to-face appointment with the GP or not and if not, well give you the advice you need on what to do next.

You can fill in the forms at any time, day or night, so it means you have round the clock access to the information you need to manage your conditions.

The receptionists are here to help you. They are highly trained and have a very important role in the practice communicating with the doctors and other staff. They can book appointments, issue repeat prescriptions on the computer system, give out test result information, arrange sick notes and deal with queries for the doctors. They are busy during surgery hours and have a difficult job to do so please try and be patient.
